This morning we woke up early and drove to Stawberry reservoir. The sun was warm, but the air was so cooold. When we arrived there it was a burry 28 degrees. I wore my down coat, mittens, and gloves the whole time. By the time 10:00 o'clock rolled around it had warmed up enough for the kids to take off their coats. Talmage caught the first fish after a slow start. No one caught a fish for the first hour then Tal had a bite. He reeled it in like a champ with his batman fishing pole and couldn't stop smiling. I think he is going to take after both of his Grandpa's and be obsessed with fishing. Good Job Talmage...

It's so good to have Brother!

"The future of the race marches forward on the feet of little children." Phillips Brookes I am so lucky to have little kids! Yesterday was so beautiful and warm I didn't take the kids inside until it got dark. We started the day with Talmage's soccer game, then we played in Grandmas garden for a few hours making rivers with the hose and using grandpas tool to dig big holes. After Grandmas house we went to Thanksgiving point for the Halloween festivities. They had a haunted house for kids, bounce houses, cotton candy, pony rides, clowns and so many other things I can't even remember. The funny/sad thing is that I am only thirty and I was so worn out at the end of the day I fell asleep with the kids at 8:45p.m. I had to admire all the other mothers out there that were chasing around more kids than I was. They all looked a little frazzled but happy. Talmage was such a big helper. He held Holden's hand almost the whole time because I am always such a nutcase, terrified of losing a child. Tal helped Holden get up all the ladders in the bounce houses and then he held his hand down all the slides. Holden trusts Talmage and for some reason God gave me two of the most special little boys and I am thankful every day for them.

Thank Heaven for Little BOYS!

I feel like I am always yelling! "TAL GET DOWN FROM THERE!"
"HOLDY SLOW DOWN!"
Holden has mastered the razor scooter, so now we can circle the block and I have to jog to keep up.
He is so proud of himself.
Tally zipping around and around and around the yard. I can be heard a block away yelling, "TAL SLOW DOWN!!!" He doesn't even go very fast but still I yell. Sometimes I just can't watch.

Opps!

I tried to make cooked peach jam tonight, and for anyone that knows me, this might make them laugh because I tend to mess up on simple things like easy freezer jam.. I followed the instructions to a tee and this is what came out. Is this normal? Did I leave the peaches too chunky?

First Day of School!

Tally and Holden are both in preschool now. What a milestone! I'm actually posting this a little late, but, better late then never right... Tal goes 5 days a week and Holden goes two. They both love it. Holden especially loves it because he gets to be like Tally and go to school with the big boys. I'm so lucky to have two little boys, and although I am always hugging them and kissing them I still can't seem to get enough hugs and kisses.

Tally and cousin Trace started soccer, and they had so much fun together. I laughed all the way home from the game because they are such goofballs when they get together. They try to listen as hard as they can to the coach, but their 5 year old attention spans get the better of them and they are rolling around on the grass once again. Oreos. Yummm!
I think all moms would agree with me when I say, "I love seeing my kids exhausted from running around because they are so much better behaved." They also sleep better and eat better.
I don't know why but I get a laugh out of the land O frost logo on the back. Is that funny to anyone else?

My Little Animal Lover

It's the afternoon and Holden has just woken from a nice long nap. We immediatley go outside to find Tal, when what do we see but another snake. Holden springs to life and in a matter of seconds he has the snake in his hands. After the snake is safely confiscated he staggers back to the porch to yawn, rub his eyes and stretch, still not quite awake. How funny is that? Holden my animal charmer.
"Come here little snake and let me kiss your head please!"
