Ewww GROSS! I hope he doesn't get sick. I kissed all sorts of strange animals growing up and I am still alive to tell about it.

Go to sleep little toad!
Tals friend Rexton came over and wanted the toad to live in his garage, but, by this time Tal was already warming up to the idea of letting it go so, when Rexton grabbed the toad and started to run, Tal yelled, "NOOO let the toad live its life." Then a chase ensued and finally the toad was freed.

Tally and Holden took turns with the poor little toady, and they were both very gentle, but, I can't help but feel a little sorry for the unfortunate creatures that fall victim to little hands.
Ahhh the wonders of summer... I don't know where my kids find all these creatures. If I tried to find a toad, I wouldn't even know where to begin looking, but somehow here it is.

Holden found a nice little caterpillar on its way to make a cocoon and decided to maul it a little. He was so gentle and kept saying,"Oh it's sooo soft." Eventually he lost it so I hope it got away safe.

I need to get a closer look!

Daddy caught a snake for Tally and Holden. It lived in a box for about an hour before Tal and Holden decided to show it around the yard.

It was being touched by everyone, buried in the sand and held upside down by its tail.

I kept saying, "I think the snake has had enough handling Tal maybe you should let it go", BUT, the snake was just too exciting so they held it a little longer and then a little longer until the snake opened his mouth and latched onto Tallys finger. He shook it off but Tal was sure he'd been poisoned. Not to worry though because Daddy said that snake was not poisones. FHEWW!
