We ended up at the Aviary today after running some errands in the area, and we made it just in time for the bird show. Both boys were picked to help feed the Emu. The bird lady gave Holden a bowl of fruit and seeds and told him to stand very still. We had to say a magic word to get the bird to come out. I guess these birds are known for their speed and this Emu came running at Holden so quick I though Holden was going to pee his pants. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Holden didn't flinch as the bird came running at him but his face was frozen in terror. We went to the desert to ride motorcycles too, and that was fun, only I'm finding that in my old age I am really nervous about motors and speed put together. Actually, most everything worries me, except for walks in the park. Seriously, it's pathetic!

My Dad had a total hip replacement 5 weeks ago. These pictures are going to give my Mom a heart attack. He waltzed up the mountain without even a stumble. AND,Tal has been diving off the high dive. It's something I don't even dare to do.

Grandpa picked Tally up at 7:00 in the morning. Talmage is currently obsessed with Snowboarding and Fishing. He talks about fishing ALL the time, and when he isn't talking about fishing he talks about snowboarding ALL the time.

Holden is a special little man. He is super funny, and very witty. He makes everyone laugh and he's really hard to get mad at because he will say or do something funny and before I realize it, I'm rolling around on the floor with him laughing. He has the softest, fuzziest face and I kiss him way too much. He loves school, and being with his friends. He skis, rides his bike like he's not breakable, and he loves to read. He loves life, and always has a smile on his face.

 

Holden had his party at Little Gym. He invited all his friends from school and church and they ran and ran until they were red faced and sweaty.
