I have two sweet boys that love to take care of their Mother. At a recent outing to the Dinosaur Museum Tal offered to carry my purse. He said it looked heavy and he wanted me to be able to walk around and feel light. He carried it for almost 30 minutes..Oh and I have to say, I LOVE scouts. He comes home from his meetings and always wants to help.

Mom do you dare me to eat this much salsa without any water?

We play this game every time we eat salsa. Who can eat the biggest bite and not drink any water. Holden is the winner of this game every time. He eats salsa like it's ice cream.

Piano Recital

Tal thinks I am "THE MEANEST MOM" in the world because I insist that he learn piano. He hates to practice and slouches and crosses his legs indian style on the piano bench while the teacher is here just to be defiant. But, then when he practices a song and plays it well, he can't wipe the smile off his face. I laugh because secretly I think he loves it. Holden just loves everything and hugs me and tells me "THANKS" all the time for letting him take piano.. They are both so unique and lovely in their own ways. This photo was taken at a recent piano recital.

Trick or Treating with our wise friends

We volunteer twice a month at a care center by our house. We do a family home evening group and play games, and we have made so many friends there. For Halloween they had a big party and all our friends passed out candy.

Lead Me Guide me!!

It really is true! I'm so grateful for the sweet feelings I had as I watched Talmage get baptized. Little does he know, that I need him, and his perfect little spirit to help me get back to heaven.. Thank you for your wonderful example Tally!!

We ended up at the Aviary today after running some errands in the area, and we made it just in time for the bird show. Both boys were picked to help feed the Emu. The bird lady gave Holden a bowl of fruit and seeds and told him to stand very still. We had to say a magic word to get the bird to come out. I guess these birds are known for their speed and this Emu came running at Holden so quick I though Holden was going to pee his pants. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Holden didn't flinch as the bird came running at him but his face was frozen in terror. We went to the desert to ride motorcycles too, and that was fun, only I'm finding that in my old age I am really nervous about motors and speed put together. Actually, most everything worries me, except for walks in the park. Seriously, it's pathetic!
